Racing feels like it’s back in full swing this month and my team have been out taking on events from track races to multi day ultras.
There’s some superb results to report and testament to how hard everybody works.
Shout out to Mollie who completed the Hackney Half Marathon in 2hrs 14 as part of the final preparations for Manchester Marathon in a couple of weeks time
Well done to Emma who took on the Spartan ultra as part of a team, 50km of running and obstacles. Emma completed the course about an hour quicker this year and finished feeling strong
Well done to Laura who ran the Bedgebury 10k. The initial aim was to run comfortably under the hour but Laura smashed that goal running 54 mins 29.
Big well done to Antel who ran a PB at the Surrey Half Marathon finishing in 1:34:06.
Well done to Katie who ran the Faversham 10k. The plan was a strong steady effort and Katie came in just over the hour a little quicker than planned.
Big well done to Andy who took on the Self Transcendence 24hr track race in London.
The goal was 180km, the result was 181.57km (453 laps), 12th place overall and 2nd V50
Massive shoutout to Lisanne who completed the Brighton marathon today in 5 hrs 39.
It’s been a tough road to the start line for Lisanne who has had some tricky injuries to deal with.
Well done to Sally who picked up 3rd lady at the Wingham 5.5km in a time of 25:07 and through 5k at around PB pace.
Big well done to Rich who completed the Rat Race Coast to Coast across Scotland this weekend. The 2 day event covers 105 miles and is a mix of trail running, mountain biking, road biking and kayaking
Two races in two days for Antel. 2nd lady at the Medway mile in Rochester and 2nd lady at the Southern Athletics League 5000m in a time of 20 mins 20.
Sally picked up another podium at the 2nd of the Medway 5k series races at Riverside.
Sally ran a really strong race to finish in a time of 22:52
Big shoutout to Ali who took on the Anglesey Ring O’ Fire ultra. The notoriously tough course follows the coastal path around Anglesey covering 135 miles over 3 days (35.7 miles, 65.9 miles, 33.5 miles). Only 43% of the field completed the race which shows how tough it is.
Well done to Sally who collected some silverware at the rather hilly Badlesmere 10k.
Sally ran 51 mins 29 for 6th lady, 2nd in age category and a ladies team win for Ashford and District.
Well done to Alec who ran the Harvel 5 miler during his Manchester marathon build up finishing in 35 mins 40
Well done to Emma who ran the Bob & Berts North Coast 10k at the start of the month. Emma smashed it with a time of 46:26 and a new PB
